about

Hello! I'm Deanna. I was born in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a BFA in Illustration, I moved to Philadelphia and eventually taught at the University of the Arts. I've since returned back to Baltimore and am currently a professor in the Illustration Department of the Maryland Institute College of Art.

I've been a professional Illustrator for over 10 years. My spare time gets exhaused reading books, watching movies, flipping through fashion magazines, and playing with my two sons and husband.
